Canada so far...

They photos below are all out of order, but we'll get around to sorting them out. Here's just a very brief view of what we've seen so far. We'll post more later.

Firstly here is the view we awoke to on the train. Our fist real view of the Rockies. It was the start of a day where the words splendid, awesome and wow where used a lot.

Here is a view of Vancouver from Stanley park. Very pretty.

This is a statue of a guy who came to Vancouver with nothing but his family and a barrel of whiskey. Apparently when he arrived he told the locals if they built him a bar he would sell the whiskey to him, within 24hrs a bar was built and drinks were served.

Lions gate bridge.

Lady on the rock, she's vaguely based on the statue of the little mermaid. Stanley park Vancouver.
More photos will come.......

Perth Zoo

What a great day we had at the zoo! Here's some from my new camera, still working out how to use it to get the best effects.

Simons 40th

Yesterday was Simons 40th birthday and he celebrated it by visiting the Berlin Zoo as he wanted to see Knut the polar bear. After spending the day at the zoo we went to Brandenburg gates which is where Simon wanted to be for his birthday. Here is photographic evidence of the above.

Got any fish for me?
Zoom, zoom, I can swim fast - just watch me!

Berlin Zoo - There's A Bear in There

And his name is Knut. He's very cute. On 5 Dec 2006, he was the first polar bear (Eisbär) to have been born and survived in captivity.

And there's Bao Bao, a 29 year old Panda.

This guy was just hanging out watching the white wolves.

Many more zoo photos to come!
