Sad Ms Lucy

It's just over a week ago that my wonderful brown dog died. It's been such an emotional week. Quite hard to explain just how empty it is without him. Lucy girl is feeling it too. She's been very strange over the past couple of days. She's always hated us leaving to go to work, but now she's even worse. She so hates to be alone.

My Beautiful Brown Boy Is No More :-(

We arrived home this afternoon to find my beautiful brown dog dead. It is so sad to have lost my puppy after so long. He was such a great dog, and so loyal and loving. He looked after me for so many years, there are times that I don't think I would have made it if it's wasn't for him.
I already miss him so much, and it's only been a couple of hours. I miss hearing him pace the house looking for me, I miss him following me around, oh I just miss him.

So here's some photos of him, with his big happy smile.

Long Time Gone.

What happened to 2008? And it's already Feb 2009. I hate to say it, but my mother was right! Time really does go faster when you get older :-) Not much to say really, just felt bad because everyone else has been really good at keeping their blogs up to date, and well I clearly haven't. But I will attempt too.

What does 2009 hold for us.

  • We'll tomorrow we're off to the travel expo to see if we can get a cheap flight for our planned trip to Europe later this year.

  • Monday afternoon is violin lesson. Am really enjoying it and I just need to commit a bit more practice time to it each day.

  • More Study and stuff to finish off the Public Service Management Program. Yay, will be glad when that's done. But it's kinda interesting.

  • Work has a major restructure happening - with potential job losses, so that will be interesting. We'll know more details after the 19th when we get briefing on it. (Doesn't that sound like fun, but we get a morning tea before hand to make us feel all warm and fuzzy!)
  • Simon and I both turn 40 this year. (That's the excuse for the holiday)
  • Not sure whatelse.

Perhaps as I need to ponder that thought a bit more. WHat do I want from 2009? Sounds like a good topic for some wild writing.

Anyway, everyone is up and awake now, puppies are pacing so I need to go check to make sure old Mac hasn't fallen over
